Abby's Story

Abby was a vibrant, outgoing high school senior who excelled in gymnastics, having competed in state competitions when she was only a freshman. She had many friends and was known for being able to brighten a room and then the world with her smile. She was active in her church, loved children, and was accepted at Iowa State to study sports medicine. Abby had a huge heart for helping others and would often put other's feelings before her own. Diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma when she was 15, Abby fought courageously and never ceased praying and believing that God would cure her here on earth. Her faith grew and strengthened those around her inspiring in many, a desire to live life with love, compassion, and faith. Abby went home to be with Jesus in March 2006.
