Abby Invite

Thanks to Abby's very dear friend, Alyson Coleman, and her mom, Susan Skaudis, who with assistance from Patrick Wilson on Burnsville/Eagan Community Television (BECT), produced a documentary of the 2007 Abby Invite! Check the BECT web site for a schedule of airing times or to order your own copy of the Abby Invite Documentary. You can also read the article about them in Eagan's ThisWeek newspaper. Thank you Alyson and Susan for this lasting labor of love!

The numbers are in for the Abby Invite Gymnastics Benefit put on by Eastview High School! Thanks to their hard work and the support of the students and community, they raised $6500! God continued to bless their efforts with another $12,000 coming in due to the media coverage provided by KARE 11 television! Thanks to everyone involved!

Courage, Endurance, Hope and Faith. These powerful words exemplify the life of Abby Szott. As a gymnast, Abby amazed us all with her talent, grace and love for the sport. As a cancer patient, she inspired us all by allowing us to follow her journey and witness her never-ending faith in the Lord. The Abby Invite was created to keep AbbyÕs spirit and love of gymnastics alive as well as contribute to the Andrew and Abby Szott Foundation, started in memory of Abby and her brother, Andrew. The invite showcases twelve talented gymnastics teams from throughout the state of Minnesota. Money raised from admissions, concessions, t-shirt sales, and a silent auction all benefit the Szott Foundation and its mission. The Eastview gymnastics team, coaches, and parents are all very honored to host this annual event in the name of a very special young lady who blessed this Earth for seventeen precious years. At the 2008 meet, we were blessed to witness the first Szott Foundation grant award of $25,000 to Brooke Plemel and her family.
