Honoring The Young People Committed To Giving The Gift of Time
The Andrew and Abby Szott Foundation is supported extensively by young people who dedicate themselves to the Szott Foundation mission of raising money to give the Gift of Time. Through their commitment, we have been able to grow through increased funding and awareness.
Please take a moment to learn about our Young Heroes and their continued involvement with the Szott Foundation. Our most recent Young Hero was Emma Hubbard.
Emma Hubbard (2009)
The Andrew and Abby Szott Foundation is proud to honor 12-year-old Emma Hubbard as a Szott Foundation Young Hero! For her birthday, Emma asked her friends to make a donation to the Andrew and Abby Szott Foundation rather than give her gifts. What a generous and big-hearted young lady! Thank you, Emma!
(October 2009) We asked Emma to share some aspects of her life with us and this is what she shared:
I am twelve years old, in seventh grade at Rosemount Middle School. I am in the “Gold House.”
I love to dance at Betty Jo’s Dance Studio. I am in two ballet/technique classes, a tap, a jazz, a kick, a lyrical and a musical theater class. I compete in all but ballet. I like to shop for clothes and scrapbook with my friends. My favorite subject at school is math, and I like French, too.
I live in Rosemount with my parents, Pierre and Elodie, and older brother, Max. I have a pug (Brutus) at home, and another (Zoe) at my grandparents’ place. I love pugs! Someday I’d like to work with animals.
I am glad my party was able to help the Szott Foundation. My mom really liked Abby.
